Facebook business page

So as you may know I am now a qualified nail technician, I’m still working towards my nvq but I have certificates for my treatments so far, I also am now renting a room at a beauty salon near where I grew up so now have a Facebook business page.

If any of you want to check it out or like it then please do so.

Chevrons and Studs

I finally ordered and received some nail art studs! I don’t know what took me so long but I really like them.

I used Opi’s ‘Mermaids Tears’ as a base and used ‘Haven’t The Foggiest’ for the chevron by using a small paintbrush.

Then to attach the stud I painted one coat of seche vite on and then pushed the stud into the topcoat then applied another coat on top.

Patchwork nails

Sorry for not posting for a while I’ve been busy at work then on holiday in France! But I’m back and planning to blog a lot so hope your ready?

So to start off we have these patchwork nails I did a couple of weeks ago.

I firstly painted my nails with Cnd’s newest polish Vinylux in ‘Azure Blue’ which is a great baby blue creme.

Then with Opi’s ‘Alpine Snow’ I created squares and rectangle shapes onto the nails, then used other pastel colours and did some polka dots, stripes and checks for the different ‘fabrics’.

Then I used an acrylic black paint to outline the ‘fabric’ pieces and did the stitching lines with a small detailing brush.

Stripes and Leopard Print Nails

This is something new for me, although bright and leopard print I’ve never done stripes underneath before.

Firstly I painted my nails with Opi’s ‘Need Sunglasses?’, then I painted two thirds of my nails with ‘Shorts Story’ then with ‘My Paprika Is Hotter Than Yours’ on the last third of my nails.

Then using a black acrylic paint I created the c’s and dots on the leopard print.

When using acrylic paints make sure you wait for them to dry otherwise as soon as you put on your topcoat it will smudge.

Heart nails

I haven’t done some of these for a while so it was great to use a new San Francisco colour from the Opi collection to create one of my favourite looks.

I used Opi’s ‘Glints Of Glinda’ as a base then I used ‘Lost On Lombard’ for the blood red hearts.

For instructions on how to create these check out some of my older posts.

One Stroke Nailart

Another one stroke flower manicure this time I used acrylic paints for the flowers. I used Opi’s ‘Embarca-Dare Ya’ and a white and purple acrylic paint. For instructions on how to do one stroke nail art look on YouTube for video tutorials.

Kitten Nails

K is for kittens! I used Opi’s ‘Alpine Snow’ for the base and the kitten faces and ‘Lincoln Park After Dark’ for the polka dots and kitten faces.
