U is for Universe! Firstly I painted my nails with OPI’s ‘Keeping Suzi At Bay’ from the San Francisco collection, then I used ‘Green-Wich Village’ on my middle and ring finger with a small detailing paint brush to create the world atlas.
T is for Triangles! So firstly for these graident/triangle nails I painted my nails with OPI’s ‘Sparrow Me The Drama’. Then once they were dry I got a makeup sponge and painted onto it the pink and ‘Mermaids Tears’ overlapping the colours then pressing it onto my nails. I repeated this about 4 times.
Then using a cotton bud I dipped it into polish remover and clean up around my cuticles.
Then getting my small detailing paintbrush I used OPI’s ‘Alpine Snow’ and painted on different sized triangles.
Finally I topped them all off with Seche Vite.
S is for Sharks! I decided that I had the perfect nail shape for a simple but effective shark nail. So I used OPI’s ‘Dining Al Frisco’ for my pinkie and index, then ‘Big Apple Red’ for the blood drips which I did using a dotting tool.
Then for the shark I used OPI’s ‘I Don’t Give A Rotterdam!’ as a base, then white and black acrylic paints for the teeth and eyes.
Then I topped everything off with Seche Vite Topcoat.
Q is for Quilt! So these were a rather complicated design to do, I firstly sectioned off my nails with the different base colours which included OPI’s ‘Mermaid Tears’, ‘Big Apple Red’, ‘Shorts Story’, ‘A Grape Fit’ and ‘Alpine Snow’. Then I created the different patterns onto each section such as the stipes, polka dots and flowers and used OPI’s ‘Alpine Snow’, ‘Strawberry Margarita’, ‘Big Apple Red’ and ‘Azure Blue’ by Vinylux.
I then used OPI’s ‘Lincoln Park After Dark’ to add the black outline to each section and the stitching lines.
Finally I topped them off with Seche Vite Fast Drying Topcoat.
