For the last day for this month’s challenge the theme was April Showers and after searching on instagram I found a photograph from a window looking at some trees with rain drops on the glass and this is my interpretation of it.
I used OPI ‘Casino Royale’, ‘I Just Can’t Cope-acabana’ and ‘Amazon Amazoff’ and some acrylic paints for the rain drops.
For near the end of April this theme was based on something that inspires your nails. So I decided to be inspired by one of my favourite nail artists, Ohmygoshpolish.
I decided to do her rainbow drips manicure using OPI ‘Alpine Snow’, ‘Lady In Black’, ‘Red Hot Rio’, ‘Where Did Suzi’s Man Go?’, ‘I Just Can’t Cope-acabana’, ‘Green-wich Village’, ‘No Room For The Blues’, ‘A Grape Fit’, and ‘Shorts Story’.
Then I topped them all of with Seche Vite.
For Easter Sunday a lot of my nail art challenges wanted an Easter theme so I decided to do the Cadbury’s bunny.
I used OPI ‘Tomorrow Never Dies’ as my base because its the perfect cadbury’s colour and acrylic paints for the bunny.
Once the paint had dried I used Seche Vite to top them all off.
For the days leading up to easter one of the challenges called for Easter Egg nails, now in the uk we have huge chocolate egg covered in foil but I know internationally that Easter eggs can be boiled and hand painted so I decided to go for some pastel hand painted art.
I used CND Vinylux ‘Sun Bleached’, ‘Mint Convertible’ and ‘Azure Wish’, OPI ‘Sparrow Me The Drama’ and China Glaze ‘Lotus Begin’ for them.
Here’s one of the mani’s I loved doing for April these dual chevron tips on my squarletto nails.
I used OPI ‘I Theodora You’ for my base, ‘Kiss Me I’m Brazilian’ and ‘Where Did Suzi’s Man Go?’ for the chevron tips.
And then I finished them with Seche Vite.
I’m really sorry for being MIA recently I started a new job and have been hectically trying to settle in, I have managed to do my nails in the evenings but haven’t posted them. So over the next few days I will try to catch up and promise to try and keep up with everything from now on!
So for day 8, I know I’m that far behind!, the theme was favourite nails, so I did a usual thing for me, leopard print nails.
For these I used OPI ‘Toucan Do It If You Try’, ‘The IT Color’ and ‘Lady In Black’. And then I topped them all with Seche Vite.
For this months nail art challenge one of the themes was ‘weather’ so I decided to do the four weather conditions using acrylic paints on top of Vinylux ‘Azure Wish’.
I used a small detailing paint brush and Daler Rowney acrylic paints for this design and waited for them all to dry completely matte before adding my topcoat of Seche Vite.
