For some of the nail art challenges I’ve been doing this month quite a lot of the theme are blue nails or puzzle nails for Autism awareness month.
So I mixed the theme with having a blue gradient and blue puzzle accent nail.
I used Essie ‘Borrowed & Blue’, Vinylux ‘Azure Wish’, OPI ‘No Room For The Blues’ and ‘Keeping Suzi At Bay’.
For the puzzle accent nail I firstly painted each section with a small paint brush then using a dotting tool for the jigsaw pieces.
I topped them all with Seche Vite.
Another blue manicure I did on the 1st April to show awareness for Autisim using an unknown blue colour by Barry M on the majority of my hands, and Models Own ‘Indian Ocean’ on my middle and ring finger. I then created the leopard print with the Barry M polish and OPI’s ‘Eurso Euro’.
To find out how I created the leopard print check out my previous posts.
These water inspired nails were inspired one of the many nail artists on instagram.
I used Barry M’s ‘Blue Moon’ as a base, ‘Blueberry Ice’ for the middle section, which I did in one sweep on the nail polish brush, and then with a small paint brush I used OPI’s ‘I Saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw’ to add the darker strokes.
For this simple Blue manicure for Autisim awareness month, I used Barry M’s ‘Blue Moon’ on my pinkie, ‘Blueberry Ice’ on my ring, an unknown polish on my middle, OPI’s ‘Eurso Euro’ on my index and ‘I Saw…U Saw…We Saw…Warsaw’ on my thumb.
From April 1st 2013 a campaign has started on Instagram to raise awareness for Autisim, where you paint your nails blue. There’s no rules or regulations you can do all month, one week, once a week or one day. So I thought I would dedicate the 1st April to my blue day.
So my first blue manicure was a simple one using OPI polishes ‘I Saw….U Saw….We Saw…Warsaw’ and ‘Can’t Let Go’.
I used ‘I Saw’ on the majority of my nails but used the liquid sand on my middle and ring fingers for accent nails.
