For one of the last days of May the theme was fruit nails so I decided to do some Andy Warhol inspired nails.
I used OPI ‘Alpine Snow’ as my base and acrylic paints for the banana.
If you are part of the instagram nail society you will know that people like to get involved with other nail artists and share tips etc, well I have been fortunate enough to speak to doe lovely ladies from all over the world and together we have done some themed manicures together, one of the themes was fruits, so we all chose different fruits to do.
I chose to do pineapples as my name derives from the meaning of goddess/queen of pineapples.
For this mani firstly I did a gradient using OPI ‘I Just Can’t Cope-acabana’, ‘Where Did Suzi’s Man Go?’ and ‘Toucan Do It If You Try’, and also used the latter for the top detailing, along with ‘Green-wich Village’ for the top.
If you want to contact me about doing collaborations via instagram etc contact me via KIK messaging @nonaphilippa the same username as my twitter and instagram.
Sorry I’ve been MIA recently work has been hectic for me as well as my social life, I just haven’t been able to post but I hope you’ve been keeping up with my nails via Instagram!!
So we’re back to the start of May where Brand new challenges started and this was my first May mani.
I wasn’t sure what May flowers were so instead I just did this cute and simple floral design using large roses and a variety of colours.
The polishes I used for this mani were OPI ‘Kiss Me I’m Brazilian’, ‘Where Did Suzi’s Man Go?’ and ‘Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around’, along with CND Vinylux ‘Cake Pop’ and All That Jazz ‘Samba In The Summertime’.
For the large roses I actually used a paint brush rather than my usual dotting tool for the large but smaller details.
